What is Sober Living? And How long is the average stay for residents at Fireside? 

Sober Living is a managed and peer-supportive environment for those transitioning from inpatient substance treatment before independent living.  We encourage residents to stay active at Fireside until a minimum of one year of sobriety is reached (statistics support a minimum of one year of sobriety for long term success).  (Source: An Eight-Year Perspective on the Relationship Between the Duration of Abstinence and Other Aspects of Recovery)

We have a zero-tolerance policy on drugs and alcohol.  Random and regular urinalysis and breathalyzer tests are given to residents. Possession and/or use of alcohol or illegal drugs (limited exemptions for doctor prescribed medications) will result in eviction.

Yes. Detox and inpatient treatment are necessary in the “substance abuse recovery chain.” We are happy to discuss your options that will position you for lifelong recovery.

Yes, the Fireside Recovery sober living home is centrally located near public transportation and has some room on-site for personal vehicles.  From our location, jobs at a variety of skill levels are available.
